At CPAP Store London, we are committed to operating in full compliance with the UK’s medical device regulations as set out by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and applicable UK health and safety standards.

Prescription Requirements (UK)

Under MHRA guidance, certain respiratory devices are classified as prescription-only medical devices. CPAP Store London requires a valid prescription for the following products:

  • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machines
  • BiPAP (BiLevel Positive Airway Pressure) machines
  • Oxygen concentrators
  • Nebulizers

We reserve the right to request supporting prescription documentation before processing orders for these items. We may also refuse or cancel any order that appears to be non-compliant with UK medical device law.

CPAP Masks, Parts & Accessories

CPAP Store London offers CPAP/BiPAP mask components and accessories such as mask frames, cushions, headgear, filters, and tubing. These items are made available for purchase either individually or packaged together for convenience. While a fully assembled mask with headgear may be classified as a complete “patient interface” (and therefore require a prescription), we supply all mask-related items as separate, non-configured replacement components.

All bundled kits are shipped unassembled and are not sold or marketed as a therapeutic system. Final assembly is the responsibility of the end user.

By purchasing these items, the customer acknowledges that they:

  • Have an existing prescription or clinical directive (if required); or
  • Are purchasing components for lawful use, such as replacement, personal education, testing, or general accessory use;
  • Understand the proper application and usage of CPAP-related equipment.

CPAP Store London does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All products are sold in good faith and in accordance with MHRA and UK medical device distribution rules. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure legal and proper use of any item purchased.

We disclaim all liability for misuse, improper assembly, or use of any product without appropriate medical guidance. By completing a purchase, the customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CPAP Store London and its affiliates from any resulting claims, penalties, or liabilities under UK law.
