ResMed AirFit F20 Full Face CPAP Mask Template
Fitting and Adjusting your AirFit F20 Full Face CPAP Mask.
- Twist and pull both magnetic clips away from the frame.
- Ensure that the ResMed logo on the headgear is facing outwards and is upright. With both lower headgear straps released, hold the mask against your face and pull the headgear over your head.
- Bring the lower straps below your ears, and attach the magnetic clip to the frame.
- Undo the fastening tabs on the upper headgear straps. Pull the straps evenly until the mask is stable and positioned as shown in the illustration. Reattach the fastening tabs.
- Undo the fastening tabs on the lower headgear straps. Pull the straps evenly until the mask is stable and sits comfortably on the chin. Reattach the fastening tabs.
- Connect the device air tubing to the elbow. Attach the elbow to the mask by pressing the side buttons and pushing the elbow into the mask, ensuring it clicks in on both sides.
- Your mask and headgear should be positioned as shown in the illustration. Adjustment If necessary, slightly adjust the position of the mask for the most comfortable fit.
- Ensure that the cushion is not creased and the headgear is not twisted.
- With air pressure applied, pull the mask away from your face to allow the cushion to inflate and reposition onto your face.
- To resolve any leaks at the upper part of the mask, adjust the upper headgear straps. For the lower part, adjust the lower headgear straps.
- Adjust only enough for a comfortable seal. Do not over-tighten as this may cause discomfort.

I have tried many of the full-face masks available. I’ve not been happy with many of the masks I tried, probably because I sleep on my side – I think that makes it even harder to get a good mask seal. I really wanted to like the hybrid masks (under the nose style) but I couldn’t get them to stop leaking. And of the masks that I could use, I find the AirFit F20 works best for me. The mask stays in place and seals very well. The hose attachment swivels effortlessly, and the air flow out of the mask is diffuse and silent. The cushion is easy to clean and replace, and I like the straps and fittings.

If you have read my previous reviews on the N20, here is the latest on this mask. I switched to this mask due to me developing issues with sleeping with my mouth open. I tried chin straps and found them uncomfortable and restricting. Since I am a huge fan of the N20, nasal mask, I decided on the F20. full face version. My first couple of nights were difficult as I have been using a nasal mask for almost 15 years. After that adjustment period, I found that my only issues were with getting the right tightness on the straps. Although the straps are a little tighter than my previous mask, I now have 0 leaks. My AirSense 10 is now showing 100 points every night. This is the first time that I have been able to get that. I wanted to express my sincere “Thank You” to everyone at The Cpap Shop for sticking with me to get this right. They are the best!

Best mask I found for comfort. Straps wear out fast and do not hold during sleep. After a short period you have to tighten so tight to keep it from leaking it hurts. Fix the VELCRO and it would be much better.

I don’t usually write reviews but the only review on this site was super negative. I didn’t think it was that bad. I don’t think there will ever be a perfect full face mask but this was the best I’ve ever had. I find with all the full face masks I’ve tried that you have to really cinch down the straps to limit/stop the leaks. This can cause you to have a minor sore spot on the bridge of your nose and of course stap marks. This is the first mask I’ve had that doesn’t leak and you know what that means, a good sleep! I’ll take the minor and temporary nose irritation until they have improved this issue.

I think I’ve tried almost every mask and the AirFit F20 is the most comfortable yet. It’s not necessary to tighten it to prevent air leaks. I use up to 22 cm of pressure. There’s an air leak most nights of 5 L or less, but this mask doesn’t make the farting sound as others do. It’s a very quiet mask overall; almost silent. I don’t get any skin irritation at the bridge of the nose. I think this may be the perfect mask for me.

I have paid out of pocket for over 2 years trying to find a mask that I could live with, and I finally did! Received yesterday and it was so simple to operate and find that fit that isn’t pinching your face off, or giving you neck pain. I hated to take it off.
